RUBY FLOWER RECORDS
Ruby Flower Records was founded in 2005 by Ana Isabel Ordonez, she wished to promote the music of New Jersey based trumpeter Herb Robertson and wanted to burn her passion for art and jazz founding a recording label in which the avant-garde music would be the priority.
Both, Herb Robertson and Ana Isabel Ordonez became business partners and opened their own record company, Ruby Flower Records. However...Herb Robertson considered this label as a hobby and the cooperation between both business partners ended on 17th November 2009. Nevertheless, Ana Isabel's passion to produce and distribute great original music still alive. New York based bassist Dominic Duval is now in charge of Ruby Flower Artistic Direction, marking a new direction and positive changes for Ruby Flower.
Ruby Flower Records has the desire to please connoisseurs and purist audiophiles by signing some great musicians from all over the world. We aim to have a catalogue of releases ranging from jazz, blues and world musics to singer/songwriters.
“Creatively speaking…Where the talents blossom”…a simple slogan, a label which will try to create and achieve innovative music while searching for a technical excellence on the releases. Ruby Flower Records is aware that the work of a label is not a success that is reached overnight. The founder Ana Isabel, artistic director Dominic and consultant artistic director Giorgio of this label are used to working hard and are driven with a deep passion and love for music. This magical combination carry Ruby Flower Records well into the future.
